2-Day Sea Odyssey: Alonissos, Peristera & Kyra Panagia

2-Day Sea Odyssey: Alonissos, Peristera & Kyra Panagia

A two-day sea excursion to Alonissos with Seanthesy Cruises is more than just a trip—it is a profound journey into the wild nature and the true spirit of the Aegean. Starting from Agiokampos, Larissa, our modern speedboat carries you swiftly and comfortably to the most tranquil and authentic island of the Sporades—a place that remains unpretentious, with pristine shores, lush green landscapes, and crystal-clear waters.

During our journey, we will explore secluded beaches accessible only by sea, such as Kokkinokastro, Votsi, Megali Ammos, and Tzortzi Gialos. We will go island hopping to beautiful islets like Kyra Panagia and Peristera, discovering well-kept secrets known only to our experienced skipper. The trip includes an overnight stay in Steni Vala, the Old Chora, or a seaside lodge, offering free time to wander through picturesque alleys, dine on local delicacies, and enjoy starry nights scented with thyme and jasmine.

Alonissos is not just a natural paradise; it is the heart of the National Marine Park, the largest in Europe, sheltering protected species like the Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus). If we are lucky, we might see them playfully emerging from the waves. You will also have the opportunity for snorkeling in deep blue bays and exploring uninhabited islets throughout the Northern Sporades.

Seanthesy Cruises offers you much more than an organized tour: we create a rhythm of relaxation and connection with the sea, characterized by care, safety, and discreet luxury. Leave the rush of everyday life behind and experience a two-day escape where time flows slower and more meaningfully—in the heart of the Alonissos blue.

Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary: 2-Day Alonissos & Marine Park Expedition

Day 1: Into the Heart of the Marine Park

  • 07:30 | Departure: Leaving the Port of Agiokampos. As we cruise east, enjoy your morning coffee and the sunrise over the Aegean. Your skipper will brief you on the history, traditions, and the exciting spots we are about to explore.

  • 10:30 | Kyra Panagia – Agios Petros Bay: Our first destination is the uninhabited island of Kyra Panagia. We anchor in the stunning turquoise bay of Agios Petros. Enjoy a swim in crystal-clear waters or take a short hike on the island’s pristine trails.

  • 13:30 | The Blue Caves of Alonissos: On our way south, we explore a complex of magnificent sea caves. Our boat navigates right into these natural masterpieces. Keep your cameras ready—this is a favorite spot for the Mediterranean monk seals!

  • 14:30 | Agios Dimitrios Beach: Known for its unique horseshoe shape that stretches into the sea, this is the perfect spot for our midday break. Relax, swim, and enjoy a meal in a setting that defines Greek summer.

  • 17:30 | Steni Vala – The Picturesque Haven: Arrival at the island’s most beautiful natural harbor. Steni Vala is a favorite for yachts and speedboats. Enjoy fresh seafood at traditional taverns and soak in the idyllic atmosphere at the legendary “Ikaros” bar.

  • Evening | Alonissos Chora (Old Town): A 20-minute taxi ride takes you to the enchanting Old Town. Walk through narrow alleys, witness a breathtaking sunset, and shop for local products like the famous Alonissos Tuna. Don’t miss “Chagiati” for traditional sweets and live music.

  • Overnight stay at Steni Vala or Chora.

Day 2: Shipwrecks, Red Cliffs & Hidden Bays

  • Morning at Steni Vala: Waking up here is a slow, beautiful process. Enjoy breakfast by the water, feeling the Aegean breeze and the sparkle of the morning sun.

  • 11:00 | Peristera Island – The Shipwreck: Our first stop of the day is the islet of Peristera. A shipwreck submerged in turquoise waters awaits. Use our snorkeling gear to explore the hull, or for the more adventurous, dive from the ship’s bridge into the deep blue.

  • 12:00 | Tzortzi Gialos: Arguably the most idyllic view on the island. This bay offers a unique palette of natural colors. Ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and a relaxing coffee.

  • 13:00 | Kokkinokastro (Red Castle): One of the most impressive beaches, featuring deep blue waters, steep red cliffs, and golden sand. The area hides ancient secrets, as excavations have revealed a prehistoric settlement on the cape.

  • 14:00 – 17:00 | Tailored Exploration (Milia, Spartines, Votsi, Patitiri): We dedicate these hours to the spots that move you most:

    • Milia: A bay hidden in a dense pine forest where the green of the trees meets the emerald of the sea.

    • Spartines: A secluded beach perfect for those who seek isolation and a connection with nature (nudist-friendly).

    • Votsi: A picturesque little harbor with romantic vibes and quaint taverns.

    • Patitiri: The main port of Alonissos, bustling with local life and charming cafes.

  • 20:00 | Return: Arrival at Agiokampos Port, marking the end of an unforgettable journey.
